God is the breath in your lungs (butterfly analogy)

Sometimes we say “God is the breath in our lungs” - but do we actually realise what that means?

I had a conversation about a butterfly that completely changed my perspective. When it comes out of the cocoon, it has to breathe in oxygen before it can fly. Without that breath, it can’t function in the way it was created to.

And it just made me realise… we’re the same. In Genesis 2:7, God breathes life into man.

His breath is what gives us life. So many of us are trying to keep going, pushing through, figuring everything out… but we were never meant to do life without Him.

If you feel tired, overwhelmed, or like you can’t keep going, maybe you’re just trying to do it without breathing Him in.

This is a reminder to come back to Him.

To rely on Him.

To let Him be your strength again.

God is the breath in your lungs.

God Bless!
